 This vital first hour is spent with us to help the clinician better understand the presenting complaint and carry out our assessment to accertain how we can help. This entails thorough

• General examination - gait observaitons and blood pressure, leg length and other tests if indicated
• Orthopaedic examination - testing of various ranges of motion in the muscle, joint and ligaments and other relevant orthopaedic tests
• Neurologic examination - reflexes, myotomone (muscle strength for motor nerve function) and  dermatome (sensory nerve function)
• Radiographic examination - (only if indicated at this point which we refer out to either your GP or a private facility)

in order to facilitate the formulation of a concise clinical picture.  Once a working diagnosis is reached we will present to you our findings and our plan for what to do going forward.  Sometimes first aid care may be administered but this is assessed on a case by case basis depending on the complaint presented and our findings.  
We assess your situation in the context of your needs and map out a path to improve and maintain your health and vitality. 
For example, we may be consulted due to headaches, back or leg pains, sciatica or general fatigue as it is usual for us to treat multiple health complaints at once.  But firstly, we need to  understand what is stressing your body and causing the underlying compromise in function. Secondly, we treat the cause of complaint with conservative Chiropractic / Physiotherapy care and guide you back to full recovery. Thirdly, we create a strategy together that can be easily followed to give back control and  stop the problem reoccurring and stay healthy and vital.

TREATMENT

Follow up treatment sessions are 20 minutes in duration where the clinician will carry out the appropriate care for the condition presented. This may entail manual manipulations, manual mobilisation, soft tissue therapies including: Sacro Occipital Techniques, Cranial Therapies, Graston technique, Medical Acupuncture / Dry Needling.   Home Exercises to aid rehabilitation and Ergonomic advice.  Nutrition advice may also be given if deemed appropriate.
